Lesbifriends Travel, a premier travel organization, champions unique travel experiences tailored for the LGBTQ+ community, particularly focusing on women. Their mission is to cultivate adventure, community, and exploration in secure and affirming settings worldwide. With a history of over 40 events and numerous international group trips, Lesbifriends Travel has become a beacon for LGBTQ+ visibility and community cohesion.

The Challenge

Despite its impressive track record, Lesbifriends Travel's digital footprint did not mirror the dynamic and inclusive nature of its services. The outdated website lacked the capacity to showcase their extensive experience or attract a broader audience, thus hindering their potential to promote more ambitious international excursions.

Our Solution

To elevate Lesbifriends Travel’s digital presence, iammai CREATIVE initiated a comprehensive rebranding effort, starting with a vibrant new logo that better reflects the spirit of adventure and community. The transformation continued with a complete overhaul of their branding toolkit and website. The new website is interactive and engaging, designed to showcase past events vividly and promote upcoming trips effectively. We utilized a mix of their own event and trip photography, supplemented by custom AI-generated imagery and additional photos taken during the South Africa trip, to address the lack of black queer representation in traditional stock photography. This strategic enhancement not only enriched the site's aesthetics but also solidified Lesbifriends Travel's identity as a progressive, community-focused brand.

Results

Since the rebranding and website overhaul in August 2023, Lesbifriends Travel has experienced substantial digital engagement and operational success. Within ten months of the launch, the website attracted 18,000 Total Visitors, including over 1,000 Visitors in the first month alone, reflecting a strong immediate impression. The site's engagement metrics further illustrate its success, with an Average Time on Page of 100 seconds and a Bounce Rate of 51.87%. These figures suggest visitors are actively engaged and interested in the content, which is critical in the travel and event planning industry. Additionally, the Exit Rate was recorded at 39.58%, indicating the redesigned website effectively retains visitor interest longer than the industry average.

Importantly, the website facilitated substantial user interaction: 686 Forms Submitted, highlighting active engagement and lead generation, and 308 New Subscribers were added to the mailing list, expanding the community and enhancing direct marketing opportunities. {Figures as of July 2024}

The increased web traffic, high engagement levels, and subscriber growth through the redesigned website interface have significantly contributed to Lesbifriends Travel's operational scale and revenue growth. These results underscore the effectiveness of strategic branding and a well-executed digital presence in transforming business performance.
