Overview
Free Lunch, spearheaded by Justin Ikhide in collaboration with Ward 5 Violence Prevention Network, lacked a digital platform to effectively showcase their community impact, gather donations, and disseminate resources. Despite years of substantial community engagement and collaborations with large government and community organizations, their digital presence was minimal. This limited their ability to reach a broader audience and hindered potential growth and support opportunities.
Our Solution
To address these challenges, iammai CREATIVE developed a comprehensive digital strategy that included brand messaging, web design, video editing, and graphic design. The website was crafted with unique aesthetics that tied back to the "brown paper bag lunch" theme, featuring textures resembling brown paper and sections designed to look like polaroids taped to the page, enhancing the tangibility and authenticity of the platform.
The "Shop for Good" section was designed to include print-on-demand items, offering a creative approach to drive support and donations. The entire website was designed to not only serve as an informational hub but also as a storytelling canvas, showcasing the impactful work done by Free Lunch and its partners.
Results
Since its launch in June {as of July 2024}, the website has garnered over 491 Page Views without any formal launch event—a testament to its compelling design and user engagement. The site's average time on page stands at 73 seconds higher than this industries standard.
The positive feedback on the site's design and functionality suggests that the upcoming launch event will likely elevate its visibility and effectiveness further. Justin Ikhide anticipates this platform to be among the best seen by his colleagues, setting a new standard for how community-driven initiatives can leverage digital spaces for broader impact.
